As part of the Jagdhof Carlshaus, the Witch's Cottage offers a secluded location with its own barbecue and outdoor area, providing individual privacy for nature and dog lovers.
On approximately 90 sqm, up to six people can enjoy comfort and coziness in three bedrooms. If you want to make full use of the large kitchen table, you can book two extra beds in the small annex "Dollhouse." This way, up to eight people can vacation here.

On the upper floor, there is one room with a double bed and another with two single beds. On the ground floor, a third room with a double bed awaits our guests. Luxurious mattresses and the unique tranquility of the Harz nature ensure a dreamy sleep. Shutters reliably keep the morning sun out if needed.

The nostalgic shower bathroom, with its English fittings and charming details, offers both luxury and coziness. It's the perfect place to relax after a long hike.

The Dollhouse - for 2 Additional Guests
The charming Dollhouse is a small, standalone annex located right next to the Witch's Cottage, offering additional space for guests. If you wish to expand the occupancy to up to eight people, it can be booked for a flat fee of €150. Equipped with a bunk bed and an integrated shower bathroom, it provides a practical and cozy extension to the Witch's Cottage.
Good to Know
Forest
Due to extreme weather conditions or forestry work, access issues may arise, or power outages may occur. If severe weather-related problems are foreseeable in advance, we reserve the right to inform you at short notice about a cancellation of your booking. Of course, no cancellation fees will be charged in this case. However, we generally assume that the sun will shine, and you will have a wonderful and relaxing time at our charming hunting lodge in the forest.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation 8-4 weeks before arrival: 30% of the total booking amount
4 weeks to 8 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking amount
7 days – 1 day before arrival: 90% of the total booking amount
No-show or cancellation on the day of arrival: 100% of the total booking amount
We recommend purchasing travel cancellation insurance.

In the middle of nature
The Carlshaus is located in absolute seclusion in the middle of the Harz, with a view of the Ottofelsen. The ascent to the Brocken takes about 2 hours from the Carlshaus.
