Right at the doorstep, scenic hiking trails begin, leading through dense, untouched nature and offering the perfect opportunity to experience the tranquility and beauty of the Harz up close.

Ground Floor
The Carlshaus, with its approximately 170 sqm, offers everything you need to feel comfortable.
The ground floor features a spacious living room with two seating areas, a fireplace, and a tiled stove. Additionally, there is a modern kitchen and an elegant dining room.
Dining Room & Kitchen
The ultra-modern and stylish kitchen offers everything you need to enjoy cooking. A gas stove, high-quality appliances such as an oven with grill and convection function, a Miele dishwasher, automatic drawers, and more. The stainless steel countertop is easy to clean and adds a sophisticated touch.
The dining room is located in the historically oldest part of the Carlshaus and, with its cast-iron hunter's stove and large dining table, provides an elegant setting for stylish gatherings.
Bedrooms
The upper floor has two bedrooms that can accommodate a total of six people. From the master bedroom, with its large double bed, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the landscape.
Four additional guests can sleep comfortably in custom-built, handcrafted beds. High-quality mattresses and down bedding ensure a restful sleep.
Bathroom & Extra WC:
The bathroom, with its freestanding clawfoot bathtub, invites you to relax, and a large wardrobe offers plenty of space for your luggage.
An additional WC is located on the ground floor next to the cloakroom.

Bedrooms
On the upper floor, there is one room with a double bed and another with two single beds. On the ground floor, a third room with a double bed awaits our guests. Luxurious mattresses and the unique tranquility of the Harz nature ensure a dreamy sleep. Shutters reliably keep the morning sun out if needed.
Bathroom & Details
The nostalgic shower bathroom, with its English fittings and charming details, offers both luxury and coziness. It's the perfect place to relax after a long hike.

Our modern kitchen on the ground floor offers everything you need for cooking enjoyment and relaxing evenings after an adventurous day of hiking. Whether you're a couple enjoying nature together or a family seeking adventure with the kids, the Witch's Cottage is the perfect starting point for unforgettable moments!
The Small Annex of the Hunting Lodge
The Dollhouse (+2 Guests)
The charming Dollhouse is a small, standalone annex located right next to the Witch's Cottage, offering additional space for guests. If you wish to expand the occupancy to up to eight people, it can be booked for a flat fee of €150. Equipped with a bunk bed and an integrated shower bathroom, it provides a practical and cozy extension to the Witch's Cottage.

Aussenbereich & Grillplatz
Der Jagdhof bietet mit seiner abgeschiedenen Alleinlage sowie einem eigenen Grill- und Außenbereich eine ideale Rückzugsmöglichkeit für Natur- und Hundeliebhaber. Wie auch die Bergwacht ist der Jagdhof ausschließlich in der Sommersaison geöffnet, da beide Häuser mitten im Wald liegen und im Winter kein Räumdienst zur Verfügung steht.
Good to Know
Forest
Due to extreme weather conditions or forestry work, access issues may arise, or power outages may occur. If severe weather-related problems are foreseeable in advance, we reserve the right to inform you at short notice about a cancellation of your booking. Of course, no cancellation fees will be charged in this case. However, we generally assume that the sun will shine, and you will have a wonderful and relaxing time at our charming hunting lodge in the forest.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation 8-4 weeks before arrival: 30% of the total booking amount
4 weeks to 8 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking amount
7 days – 1 day before arrival: 90% of the total booking amount
No-show or cancellation on the day of arrival: 100% of the total booking amount
We recommend purchasing travel cancellation insurance.
